Last fall, we discussed how Easton was in the midst of a major revival, especially in the downtown area. In 2025, “The Marquis” opened. The Marquis features luxury studio, 1 2–2-bedroom apartments right in the downtown area. Also, a new hotel and several new restaurants have opened or are soon to open. Finally, in early 2026, “The Confluence” will open at the confluence of the Delaware and Lehigh Rivers. The Confluence will also feature studio, 1, and 2-bedroom apartments.

Many other things are unique to the Easton area:

  • The Stirner Arts Trail: A 1.75-mile scenic route along the Bushkill Creek that showcases everything from rotating sculptures to public art.
  • Easton Wine Project: A hub with a cozy atmosphere, top-notch food, and an impressive wine selection with some of the best dry whites, reds, and rosés in the area – all for under $10 per glass.
  • The Wanderlust Beer Garden: Food trucks, fire pits, and live music.
  • Bushkill Park: One of the nation’s oldest amusement parks, built in 1902. It features kid-friendly rides, the iconic “Bar’l of Fun” funhouse, ice skating, and party rentals.
  • Kleins Creamery: A petting zoo, lush grounds, and awesome ice cream. Everything is made fresh from the farm.
  • The incredible Marblehead Chowder House: The outside is weathered wood siding, a stone foundation, and nautical features that make it look like it belongs in a New England fishing village. The inside is filled with nautical artifacts and memorabilia, and a large seascape painting dominates one wall. The food is unmatched:
    • Seafood Chowder: Packed with clams, chunks of fish, scallops, and shrimp in a phenomenal cream sauce.
    • Lobster Rolls: A perfectly toasted, buttery bun filled with chunks of sweet, tender lobster.
    • Clams: Ipswich clams (whole belly clams) that are lightly breaded and fried to golden perfection – crisp on the outside, tender on the inside.
These, plus a huge array of seafood, make the Marblehead Chowder House a seafood lover’s delight.
